Who are we?
The Rouyn-Noranda Family Helpers Group is a group of people who take care at home or in accommodation, without professional status, of a person of any age who is losing their autonomy. The non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting natural caregivers who, for a more or less extended period of time, provide voluntary help to a loved one.
The help and care provided are supportive gestures that promote comfort and well-being in a situation of illness or loss of autonomy. This free assistance is granted to a father, mother, spouse, child or other family member or to a friend or neighbor.
Our mission
Break the isolation of caregivers by offering them a place of discussion and listening, support and information in order to improve their quality of personal and family life.
Our goals
The main objectives of the Regroupement are to:
-Allow natural caregivers to meet, discuss and help each other in their interventions with their loved one who is losing their autonomy and prevent burnout.
-Defend the interests and rights of natural caregivers so that they receive the information and home services required to care for their loved one who is losing their autonomy.
-Promote the creation of appropriate tools and services and any other activity serving the interest of natural caregivers.
